Where Toddlers Are Able to Explore Their World and Be Inquisitive

At this age, between 16 and 24 months, your child is learning to express his or her emotions and feelings. A whole new world is opening up, and it is a time of exploration as toddlers begin to talk and wander through their newfound world.

As a result of this inquisitive stage, we shape our toddler curriculum around:

  • Developing fine and gross motor skills

  • Sensory play

  • Art activities

  • Meeting your child’s milestones

Your child’s day is filled with engaging, developmentally enriched experiences including:

  • Sign language, building early communication skills

  • Singing to encourage language development and joy

  • Story time, building listening skills and imagination

  • Dancing to develop coordination and self-expression

  • Playing, both indoors and out to support active, healthy growth

Daily routines are used for learning colors, counting, shapes, matching and sorting, and categorizing objects. Through songs and finger plays, children begin their journey toward a love of learning.

To keep you abreast of your child’s individual progress, Daily Reports are kept. These are made available to parents to maintain communication between your child’s teacher and you concerning your child’s day at Creative Childcare Academy & Camp. We always welcome your support and your feedback.
