Busy TWO YEAR OLDS
Two year olds need a balance of nurturing and learning to help them gain self-confidence, to boost their self-esteem, and to instill a love of learning. Since these children abound with both energy and eagerness, our daily classroom and extra curricular activities center around songs and finger play, stories, mathematical relationships (numbers, shapes and sizes), oral language (alphabet), colors,art, music and dance, dramatic play, and physical skills. Our centers are filled with a world of wonderment for two year olds: blocks, art materials, home living, Play-Doh®, puzzles, books and table toys. Emphasis is placed upon stimulating the developmental areas of social and emotional skills, cognitive skills, and gross and fine motor skills. These learning activities also help to prepare your child for the preschool experiences that are just around the corner. Our philosophy is that learning should be fun to achieve a love for learning.
In conjunction with these learning activities, there is a special project done each month at Creative Academy Childcare & Camp. Specific topics are explored using hands-on activities and imaginative play to promote the ability to explore, over an extended period of time, one selected topic that is age appropriate. Our cheerful classrooms are just the venue for your child to explore and to grow educationally as well as emotionally. Our program integrates imaginative play and real life experiences. As with all our age programs at Creative Academy Childcare & Camp, Daily Reports are kept on your child’s learning, eating, sleeping, and other essential areas. Communication is one of our top priorities.
The following enrichment classes are included in the weekly tuition music and movement, arts and crafts, cooking for fun, introduction to german, computer lab, sign language, beginners spanish.
Children participate in daily outside play on our state of the art playground or the bounce house in our multipurpose room so even on rainy days or hot or cold days children are able to participate in active play. The playground and Bounce House are the children’s favorite activities.
