At the age of three, children have a keen desire to learn more, and they do so with eagerness and excitement. We capitalize upon this spirit and delve into the teaching of key academic concepts and skills. At this age, verbal language is developing quickly, and as a result, three year olds respond to critical thinking activities with a new sense of wonder. At Creative Academy Childcare & Camp we provide a special preschool learning environment designed specifically to meet these developmental needs. Monthly, weekly, and daily activities are all linked to Letter of the Week which reinforces reading readiness through letter recognition. Reading readiness also introduces the alphabet using letterforms, sounds, and words. Hands on activities teach basic science and math concepts. All of our themes promote curiosity, persistence, and self-direction. Our philosophy is that learning should be fun to achieve a love for learning.
Games, stories, songs and finger play are used to expand your child’s language skills at Creative Academy Childcare & Camp. Our daily activities for three year olds also include creative play at our learning centers – home living area, block center, sand table, library, and puppet theater while making friends and developing self-confidence. This age group also engages in music and songs, number play, science, poetry, and story time. All of these activities develop social skills, confidence and the ability to be a part of a group.
The following enrichment classes are included in the weekly tuition music and movement, arts and crafts, cooking for fun, introduction to German, computer lab, sign language, beginners Spanish.
Children participate in daily outside play on our state of the art playground or the bounce house in our multipurpose room so even on rainy days or hot or cold days children are able to participate in active play. The playground and Bounce House are the children’s favorite activities.
